Renaissance artists drew heavily on the visual and formal language of Greek and Roman antiquity in style and aesthetics. This retrospective approach later gave the epoch its name “Renaissance” (= revival). Many prominent artists of this period did not fully develop their style anew but found their inspiration in the ideals and design elements of past eras. The inspiration for the new collection comes from the famous universal genius Leonardo da Vinci.
25 Years of EDITH AGAY
This year, the label EDITH AGAY celebrates its 25th anniversary. In doing so, popular well-known collection pieces are combined with contemporary designs in a new formulation, elevated to a confident level. As is known in this line, the color palette with the primary colors white, black and red, accented by gold highlights, supports this concept.
The richly textured fabrics create additional dimensions, and the skillful draping in pure silk forms a unique architectural design on the body, whose significant aesthetic is further emphasized by the movements of the models.
All these aspects make the EDITH AGAY “Renaissance” Coll. ’25 an experimental journey where fashion and art form an impressive symbiosis.
