Since 2013, Romana Zöchling has been demonstrating that a successful fashion label can thrive through diverse collaborations while simultaneously creating new collections twice a year within the fashion cycle. Her label FERRARI ZÖCHLING challenges conventional fashion dictates, blurring the supposed boundaries between fashion and art, and making social engagement a fundamental aspect. Collaborations with MOB (Fashion Without Barriers – Inclusive Fashion for Wheelchair Users) or with Art4Science (scientists from the St. Anna Children‘s Cancer Re- search) are integral to her fashion philosophy, as is the multimedia presentation of fashion through performances. The incorporation of textile art in collaboration with artists like Katharina Höglinger, Hatschepsut Huss, Marianne Vlaschits, or photographer Severin Koller has been a hallmark of Romana Zöchling‘s work for many years. Creati- ons for the theater, film, and music industries, such as for Maurice Ernst from Bilderbuch, Anja Plaschg, or Paen- da for the ESC, as well as sculptures like the Skydancer MULI from the summer of 2021 for the Secession Vienna, seamlessly integrate into the diverse oeuvre of the fashion designer. The bold and often surprising collaboration in print design does not exclude a loyal customer base at FERRARI ZÖCHLING. With the transparent production of clothing in the atelier and shop in Vienna‘s 7th district, an intriguing balance is achieved. Upon entering the atelier, one is immediately immersed in the creative world and the multifaceted activities of FERRARI ZÖCHLING. It‘s like stepping into a small universe completely infused with fashion. Layer by layer, the entire creative output of the fashion designer unfolds, offering a glimpse into a confident, forward-thinking, and hopeful future. This essen- ce is precisely reflected in each handcrafted garment from FERRARI ZÖCHLING. An online shop complements the international reach of the exclusive store in Kirchengasse.
