WISHARAWISH unveils Spring/Summer 2026 collection at Vienna Fashion Week, inspired by poetic simplicity on the paths of displaced hunters
Thai fashion brand WISHARAWISH, led by designer Wisharawish Akarasantisook, renowned for his distinctive creations rooted in Thai textiles, presented its Spring/Summer 2026 collection at Vienna Fashion Week 2025. The collection draws inspiration from the lives of “displaced hunters” in the quiet moments after their daily routines, when they pause to gather forest goods and forage for mushrooms on their way home. These small yet profound joys are delicately translated into contemporary fashion.
The silhouettes embody both fluidity and strength, reminiscent of journeys through meadows and forests amidst nature. Patterns and colors are inspired by traces of woodland paths: warm summer tones that speak of friendship and kinship intertwine with cool yet playful hues, capturing the energy of a vigorous morning through to the festive intimacy of twilight.
Musical inspirations are also reinterpreted into fashion: the heartfelt resonance of the Khaen (a traditional reed mouth organ from Northeastern Thailand) together with the rhythmic beats of local drums carried by the distant wind, gradually intensifying into a lively crescendo. These sounds are transformed into dimensions of pattern and color on fabric, turning each look into garments that are both wearable and uniquely distinctive.
This season’s showcase at Vienna Fashion Week marks another important milestone for WISHARAWISH in bringing the charm of Thai culture and local inspirations to the global stage, reaffirming the brand’s design philosophy of seamlessly intertwining heritage with contemporary fashion.
