CINEMA PHOTOGRAPHIQUE BY MICHAEL DÜRR
Cinema Photographique is Europe’s first traveling cinema for portrait and fashion photography. In order to offer photography not only in print media or on the Internet but also as a cinema experience, portrait and fashion photographer Michael Dürr has been organizing and curating the exhibition series Cinema Photographique since 2008. Photo-cinema installations with musical accompaniment have already been shown at venues such as:
Planetarium Kuppelsaal / WUK: Museumssääle/ Pratersauna: Artspace/Museumsquartier: Q21/ Albertina: Musensaal/ Kunsthalle: Projectspace/Base Level Galerie, Lena Hoschek Suite /Palais Liechtenstein/Soravia Center, Skopje / Austrian Cultural Forum, London / Hotel Lamée Vienna/ Museumsquartier Vienna, etc.
The exhibition featured fashion and portrait photographs by Michael Dürr as well as by international photographers who are friends of his, such as: Jork Weismann, Günther Parth, Wendeleen Daan, Massimo Leardini, Stefanie Mooshammer, Katja Rahwles, and Viviane Sassen.
Michael Dürr has been considered a specialist in “available light” (daylight photography) for over 25 years and has numerous national and international commissioned productions, publications, exhibition projects, fashion and advertising campaigns to his credit.
Since 2011, he has been working as a cameraman and director on short films, music videos, and TV commercials.
