The silhouettes adapt to the seasons and oscillate with the capriciousness of the weather. Amorphous shapes are layered around the skin, adaptable as needed. Androgynous cuts provide extravagant comfort. Pinstripe and check fabrics are worn in classic coat shapes and form strong contrasts to the colorful restraint. Different processing techniques and refined details create the typical PITOUR style. A snapshot of the Zeitgeist, perfectly positioned for men and women.
ABOUT PITOUR
Maria Oberfrank studied at the University of Applied Arts with Marc Bohan, J.C.de Castelbajeac, Vivienne Westwood and graduated in 1995 with Helmut Lang. After her studies she founded her own fashion label PITOUR with women’s & men’s fashion and accessories, which she has been running ever since. After several working stays, among others in Brazil, Germany and the USA, she got the chance to establish her own showroom/shop, the COMBINAT as part of the Quartier21 in the MuseumsQuartier Vienna in 2005.
This was followed by the establishment of the modequartiershows in the following years with the highlight of the “Summer of Fashion” in 2012 as the initiator. For the first time in the MQ’s existence, all of the MQ’s institutions were persuaded to conceive a program focus on the topic of “fashion” with exhibitions, performances, and much more, and the MQ became a fashion hotspot. In 2009 she founded the VIENNA FASHION WEEK, which she has since organized every September with her partners as creative headz.
The VIENNA FASHION WEEK brings together local and international designers and presents a broad spectrum of fashion creativity.
