VIENNA FASHION WEEK celebrates 15 years of “THAIdentity” with a spectacular show full of celebrities, musical performances and impressive fashion highlights. Under the motto “FLOW”, the focus is on the dynamic exchange between Thailand and Austria.
The event will be opened by the Thai ambassador, H.E. Ms. Vilawan Mangklatanakul, followed by three singers performing the song “FLOW”. This year’s motto stands for the flowing transition from tradition to innovation, from culture to fashion and for the harmonious connection between the two countries.
The four Thai fashion labels RIVA, Piyasila, Gongdid Design and Rose Mars have skillfully picked up on this dynamic in their collections.
RIVA combines timeless chic with traditional craftsmanship. Wide cuts and high-quality fabrics meet elaborate origami folding techniques to create elegant fashion – such as origami blouses – that is also suitable for everyday wear.
Piyasila gives the sustainable hemp fiber a modern design. Long, wide-cut coats and dresses are accentuated by striking collars and asymmetrical details. Soft beige tones, combined with fringes, different materials and color tones, create exciting patterns.
Gongdid Design focuses on light, flowing pleats that caress the body like gentle waves. The collection is versatile and ranges from shimmering two-piece suits to checked, cropped quilted jackets. Highlights include the black, finely gathered, transparent women’s suits, which emphasize feminine elegance.
Rose Mars takes vintage denim to the next level. With bold elements such as patchwork, fringing, ruffles and mesh details, the collection gives classic jeans a modern, rebellious twist that combines street fashion with sophistication.
THAIdentity shows how fashion can transcend borders – a tribute to 15 years of Thai fashion at the MQ VIENNA FASHION WEEK.
