MQ Artist-in-Residence Idan Yoav presented his denim menswear collection at VIENNA FASHION WEEK 2025, showcasing a perfect symbiosis of creativity, functionality, and upcycling.
Take the costume design and dance roots of designer Idan Yoav, add influences from his training in Berlin and Paris, and mix them with upcycling and denim. The result: a collection with cheeky elegance, urban coolness, and unique pieces full of character made from recycled denim. This collection was impressively presented at VIENNA FASHION WEEK 2025.
Driving beats, baggy jeans, asymmetrical combinations of light and dark denim fabrics, and stretched T-shirts created a dynamic look. The boundaries between staging and everyday life were blurred, with men’s denim dresses combined with scarves, white socks, and black leather moccasins. Accordion pleats came as a surprise, lending an airy lightness to the otherwise robust denim material.
More of a fashion project than a typical label, Idan Yoav uses precise cuts and a keen sense of material to transform forgotten fabrics into unique pieces—fashion that effortlessly blends personality, sustainability, and style.
