Fashion school Michelbeuern: Creative diversity for the future

For the thirteenth time, the Michelbeuern Fashion School is presenting the final collections of its graduates at VIENNA FASHION WEEK, showcasing the diversity and surprises that young fashion design has to offer. Under the title “Woven Narratives,” the up-and-coming talents are presenting the work they have developed over the past two years, from the initial idea to the finished collection.

From minimalist and clean to colorful and eccentric, the designs that have now become reality float down the catwalk. Each collection tells its own story and reflects individual approaches to themes such as identity, society, and aesthetics. Despite the stylistic diversity, however, there is a common thread running through the show: the specially composed music, which lends the presentations a shared vibrant dynamic. A total of 19 collections take to the catwalk – each one a personal statement by the designers. Different materials, silhouettes, and techniques are used from head to toe, creating a multifaceted overall picture. The show highlights how much creativity, craftsmanship, and passion the designers of the future put into their work—and what exciting impulses they bring to the domestic fashion scene.
