With classic chic and varied cuts, Sigrid Schumacher and her label PROTOTYPE.Schumacher put on a show full of elegance. High-gloss appliqués also spectacularly set the scene for restrained colour tones. At the VIENNA FASHION WEEK, the Bremen-based designer with ecological aspirations combined black with white, simplicity with sophistication.
From tight-fitting pieces and shift dresses to flowing dresses and trousers, PROTOTYPE.Schumacher presented a varied range of cuts. Gathers, knots and cut-outs extended this range.
With black, dark blue and white, the Bremen label opened in restrained colours that were combined to create extremely elegant looks. In the centre of the show, the designer embedded bright ultramarine, orange and pink, before returning to simple tones. Many designs scored with razor-sharp contrasts.
Appliqués were a particularly attractive feature of the entire show, with geometric shapes as well as concrete motifs such as the easily recognisable monstera leaf. Gold and shiny effects added further visual accents.
Complemented by large-scale jewellery, the VIENNA FASHION WEEK catwalk created an infallible Parisian flair, which was set to music by a chanson right at the beginning. Whether in uncomplicated shirts or sophisticated evening dresses, the models also realised this chic style in classically elegant poses. The collection, which made up the majority of the show, was aptly named ‘Pont Alexandre III’ after a Parisian bridge. The colourful eye-catchers, on the other hand, came from the ‘Icons’ collection, but were no less elegant with their radiance and applied portraits.
