Looks that can be worn comfortably in everyday life and look particularly stylish at the same time – this is exactly what the Viennese labels ROEE and körbchen presented alongside some extravagant showpieces at VIENNA FASHION WEEK 2024. With clean cuts and delicate underwear, they pursue a common goal: to make high-end designs accessible to everyone.
While the duo behind ROEE, consisting of Rene Pomberger and Michael Mairhofer, have already impressed with sophisticated combinations at the VIENNA FASHION WEEK in the past, the label körbchen 2024 also shone at its debut appearance.
The joint fashion show started with casual, urban streetwear and became increasingly playful and revealing as the show progressed. The focus was on unusual cuts and different materials: ROEE relied on soft and flowing modal, natural fibre and jersey fabrics, but also skilfully combined these with heavier winter fabrics. With playful lace lingerie, körbchen introduced a romantic component, adding a feminine touch to the straight looks. The colours were dominated by muted tones such as dusky pink, beige, dark blue and black, which created a calm base and deliberately drew attention to the unusual cuts.
Between casualness and elegance, ROEE and körbchen aspire to be true to life. ‘We make fashion in many sizes that you want to wear every day and that is comfortable – design pieces that work in everyday life,’ explain the two founders of körbchen, Victoria Lohninger and Elisabeth Leitner. The two prove that underwear can definitely be seen and, together with ROEE, show once again that fashion is there to make you feel good.
