With contemporary crochet artistry, expressive textures and a diverse colour palette, Gülnaz Karahan brought KOKOKNIT to the runway at VIENNA FASHION WEEK 2026.
On the final day of VIENNA FASHION WEEK 2026, Gülnaz Karahan showcased the versatility of contemporary crochet fashion with her label KOKOKNIT. Blending soft textures, clean silhouettes and thoughtfully placed details, she presented a collection that reimagines the traditional craft of crochet not as a nostalgic throwback, but as a contemporary art form.
A sand-coloured ensemble brought the monochromatic look back into focus. It was followed by a striking shade of vibrant violet: a cape, dress and headpiece came together to create a cohesive look, complemented by silver-shimmering boots that added a confident contrast. Burgundy tones, a light-coloured open-knit skirt and decorative headpieces introduced further textural accents, adding depth and variety to the show.
Behind KOKOKNIT is Austrian designer Gülnaz Karahan. As an independent label, KOKOKNIT brings together traditional crochet craftsmanship and contemporary design. Karahan develops each collection herself, from the initial concept to the finished garment, with every piece meticulously handcrafted. At the heart of her work is the philosophy of “Soft Power”: a vision of femininity in which softness, strength and elegance coexist.
On the runway, this vision came to life through a diverse range of silhouettes and moods. KOKOKNIT presented crochet fashion as both soft and striking, playful yet precise, transforming intricate stitch patterns into looks with a distinctive presence.
