At VIENNA FASHION WEEK.26, Maria Oberfrank presented the latest PITOUR collection – and once again showed how much can happen between purism and playful details.
Blue, Checks and Silver Boots
Blue is one of the strongest colours throughout the collection, appearing in everything from oversized coats and cape-like tops to wide trousers and layered looks on the catwalk at VIENNA FASHION WEEK.26. Checks and stripes added structure, while metallic silver boots gave some of the outfits a slightly futuristic touch.
One of the looks that immediately caught my eye combined a voluminous blue top with striped knitwear, wide trousers and a small structured hat. Another standout was the combination of mustard yellow with dark blue and silver – a colour mix that worked surprisingly well on the runway.
The menswear followed the same relaxed approach. Oversized coats, checked tailoring, striped tops and hats created looks that felt dressed but never too formal.
A Very PITOUR Balance
PITOUR described the collection as a meeting of understatement and rebellion, with the coat as one of the key pieces. And that balance was easy to see: classic elements were there, but they were constantly shifted through proportions, layering and unexpected styling. THE NEXT COLLECTION showed that a coat doesn’t always have to be just a coat – and that a small styling detail can completely change the mood of a look.
The collection didn’t need to shout. The interesting moments came from the details – a different proportion here, a surprising colour combination there, or simply the way two pieces were worn together.
Quiet, considered and with just enough rebellion.
