Opening Show: A WELL-CURATED GLIMPSE on VIENNA FASHION WEEK.25

The 17th VIENNA FASHION WEEK.25 opened with a precisely staged opening show. Hall E + G at the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna provided the stage for the fashion highlight of the year – a venue that combines modern architecture, Viennese elegance, and technical sophistication in perfect harmony.

Before the show began, the organizers Elvyra Geyer, Zigi Mueller-Matyas, and Maria Oberfrank took to the stage to welcome the audience and express their gratitude to guests, sponsors, partners, designers, and helpers.
“Without their commitment, this event would not have been possible in this form,” emphasized the organizers. Special thanks also went to the MuseumsQuartier and the Halle E + G team, who created a unique atmosphere in this extraordinary location.

THE Opening Show

Around 450 invited guests attended an Opening Show that clearly showcased the creative range of Austrian and international designers. A total of 33 collections presented a selection of key pieces and trends that will be shown in the coming days at VIENNA FASHION WEEK.25. Minimalist cuts, innovative materials, and striking details reflected the diversity of contemporary fashion. The show opened with designer NICOLAS DUDEK, who presented an unmistakable haute couture dress. From the runway, visitors moved on to Hall G for “CINEMA PHOTOGRAPHIQUE by Michael Dürr”, where photographer Michael Dürr presented Europe’s first and only traveling cinema for photography. In a cinematic atmosphere with musical accompaniment, portraits and fashion photographs by the renowned Viennese photographer were shown—featuring Austrian and international designers, jewelry and fashion labels, as well as publications, commissions, and highlights from over thirty years of fashion photography for international magazines such as Another, Harper’s Bazaar, Cos, and Sleek.

AFTERSHOW CHATS & DRINKS

Following the show, an exclusive Get Together offered a fantastic opportunity for networking and conversation, accompanied by Mionetto drinks, wines from Weingut Hagn, and delicious sweets from Toblerone. Among the distinguished guests were author Clemens Trischler, Thailand’s Ambassador Pattarat Hontong, Creative Director and Stylist Wolfgang Reichl, designer Sabine Karner, First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy Renxia Chen, photographers Michael Dürr and Kosmas Pavlos, chefs Julian Kutos and Alexander Zerza, hosts Kimberly Budinsky, Sylvia Graf-Borgstädt, and Akbaba Eser, Minister Counsellor DITP Thailand Onanood Phatongvithee, models Patricia Kaiser and Evelyn Rillé, musicians Peter Legat, Mario Rossori, singer Lukas Fendrich, singers Kim Cooper and Marika Lichter, actresses Lilian Klebow, Markus Freistätter, and Mike Galeli, chocolate artist Michael Reimer, star photographer Markus Morianz, entrepreneurs Andrea Fendrich and Kathi Stumpf, the entrepreneurial couple Wolfgang and Ekaterina Mucha, and environmental activist Nunu Kaller
