Fashion as Communication: With her brand “art point,” designer Lena Kvadrat demonstrates how inspiring fashion can be. In the latest winter collection, “subjectivism,” she opts for gold and blue, impressing at MQ VIENNA FASHION WEEK 2023 with modern cuts and important messages.
“I AM” was written in large, black block letters on the front of the oversized white T-shirt, while “NOT THIS BODY” could be read on the back: With the first outfit of her show at MQ VIENNA FASHION WEEK 2023, designer Lena Kvadrat of art point made a statement.
Every outfit thereafter was an absolute eye-catcher: whether trendy oversized pants, modern balloon skirt, or a particular highlight – a casual jacket with oversized sleeves. Lena Kvadrat opted for asymmetrical it-pieces and combined various cuts with tighter corsets. She demonstrated her attention to detail with incorporated mesh elements and zippers. The looks were rounded off with striking metallic sneakers and VR glasses, creating a futuristic and edgy style at the show. Typical for art point, the new collection is dominated by black, with Lena Kvadrat skillfully combining the colors blue, gold, and gray.
At MQ VIENNA FASHION WEEK, the designer succeeded in creating a unique artwork with each outfit. The “I AM” motif ran through the entire show: Clothing items with printed messages were repeatedly presented to illustrate how wearability and meaningfulness can be combined in fashion. With these casually modern looks, Lena Kvadrat is in tune with the times, proving that fashion can also serve as a means of expression.
